The 45th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) took place in Madrid, Spain, with Brazil as the host due to Mexico's failure to meet its payment commitments. Despite this, the Mexican delegation participated in the event.

The aim of the Mexican participation in FITUR was to promote tourism in the country and enhance its image internationally. Cooperation agreements were signed, such as the Tourism Plan to 2030 in partnership with BBVA executives, with the goal of positioning Mexico among the top 5 tourist destinations in the world.

Destinations such as Quintana Roo, Jalisco, and Yucatán were highlighted during the fair, showcasing their tourist attractions. In this context, the promotion of Mexico as a safe and attractive destination becomes a key task for the Ministry of Tourism and the Mexican delegation.

On the other hand, the company Nu has shown significant growth in Mexico, with more than 8.9 million customers and an investment of 1.4 billion in the country. Additionally, it is in the process of transforming into a banking entity to expand its services.

In the political realm, the relationship between Mexico and the United States remains relevant, with Bernardo Gómez of Televisa-Univisión being a notable figure due to his role in the Latino community. Furthermore, the border city of Ciudad Juárez faces challenges regarding infrastructure and public services amid the increase in economic activity in the region.

In conclusion, Mexico's participation in FITUR and advancements in sectors such as tourism and the economy reflect the importance of strengthening the country's image and development at the international level.
